(Website Best Viewed with Chrome/Chromium Browser)

This site is dedicated to the hobby of Shortwave Radio Listening and the collection of station verification reports,
better known as QSLs. The QSLs are presented (card and letter format) from various collections throughout the world.
If you have a QSL from a station not represented in our collection, we would be very interested in making it part of the museum.
The museum is supported entirely by volunteer contributors. To view QSLs from a particular country simply click on the country name below.

QSL of the Month - June 2023
World Music Radio

(Email received with QSL)

Dear Bill

Thanks very much for your reception report to World Music Radio (WMR) on 25800 kHz! I am pleased to verify your report; please find attached the WMR eQSL for 2023. Apologies for the late reply.

Please note that as of January 2021, WMR no longer issues a full detail eQSL. A printed full detail QSL card, however, is available - if you send your report by mail to World Music Radio, PO Box 112, DK-8960 Randers SØ, Denmark – and if possible enclose return postage (two duly stamped International Reply Coupons – or five euro). An additional donation to keep WMR and Radio208 on the air would be appreciated.

A printed full detail QSL card is also available if you send your report by e-mail, and at the same time make a donation of at least 50 DKK via PayPal to wmr@wmr.dk  or paypal.me/worldmusicradio .

Now some details about World Music Radio: WMR is an independent music station with a cheerful mix of tropical, world music.  The main focus is on reggae, salsa, soca, Brazilian music and Afropop.

WMR commenced broadcasting on shortwave more than 50 years ago from the Netherlands and has since 1997 been owned and operated by Hartvig Media ApS, Denmark. In 2004 broadcasting from Denmark began. At present WMR is broadcasting 24 hours a day 7 days a week on mediumwave 927 kHz (approx. 150 Watts from Hvidovre, Copenhagen), on shortwave 5930 kHz (100-200 Watts from Bramming), on shortwave 15700 kHz (300 Watts from Randers), and on shortwave 25800 kHz (60 Watts from Mårslet, Aarhus). Also streaming on the Internet.  Please note that 15700 kHz is on the air Saturdays and Sundays only; occasionally also weekdays.

Aerials used are a spool for 927 kHz (18 m above the ground), a dipole for 5930 kHz (13 m above the ground), a three element yagi beamed south for 15790 kHz (30 m above the ground), and a vertical half wave dipole for 25800 kHz (110 m above the ground).

QSL from Bill McDavitt - USA
